Pardon the shameless self-promotion, but this ex-Sigmonster Tamer is as excited as a first-grader attending school for the first time. The color reproduction is much better in the handbook (printed in Singapore if I'm not mistaken), these being mere snapshots in mixed indoor lighting. ;D CANON EOS 7D DIGITAL SLR HANDBOOK. Published by Reader's Digest Asia Pte. Ltd. and Canon Inc. (ISBN 978-962-258-389-4), this guidebook features the work of selected Asian photographers. In addition to Lester Ledesma's 7D samples, photos by two other Filipino shutter-clickers are included - John Chua (aerial, industrial and advertising) on pages 120 - 123, and Romy Ocon (wild birds) on pages 124-127. Thanks to fellow Filipino photographer-writer Lester Ledesma for the write-up. Pages 124-125 of the EOS 7D Digital SLR Handbook features a short article about wild bird photographer Romy Ocon, plus a full-spread photo of a Philippine Hawk-Eagle ( Spizaetus philippensis, a Philippine endemic, immature) captured at Subic rainforest with a hand held 20D + 500 f4 IS + Canon 1.4x TC. Pages 126-127 of the EOS 7D Digital SLR Handbook lists some bird photography tips from Romy Ocon, plus photos of (from top left, clockwise) a White-throated Kingfisher, an Australasian Grass-Owl, a Little Pied Flycatcher, and a Philippine Serpent-Eagle , (all species and sub-species endemic to the Philippines). Shooting gear and information are available at the clickable links.

Thanks, Mark! Funny that I was partially critical of the 7D's mid-ISO noise early on, and now my photos are in the handbook.

Thanks folks for the comments, the 800 f/5.6 L that Canon would pay me for the use of the photos will be ready for delivery next week. Naaahhhhh, just kidding (and dreaming) on the 800L.

It's about time that Canon recognizes the exceptional talents of Ka Mastah! Lucky for them Ka Romy has invested a lot on their L-Glass, hehehe. Canon should sponsor a one-man show for the Mastah, even! :-) Big Congrats Ka Romy!! :-)
