I was really hoping to get a Mt. Shrike but instead I got a Mt. BS 5DM2 + 600 mm L f4 IS, + 2x Kenko TC, f8, 1/100 sec, ISO 1600, manual exposure in available light, Tripod-Gimbal support The cousins of the Redstart, at least in color patern. BRT f8, 1/250 sec, ISO 640 and BHFT..numerous but difficult to capture as it almost always comes out after the sun was behind the mountain already, in constant motion and being destructed as it comes with a mix flock, you don't know what bird to follow. These mix flock waves should be experienced by every photog as it gives a different rush. f8, 1/100, ISO 640 These birds were all over the place (Banaue-Mt. Polis) but were really a challenge to capture. Due to the mix lighting I kept a high ISO and wide open aperture to give me a wider range for a higher shutter that would freeze this ever moving bird. f8, 1/320 sec, ISO 640 Chestnut-faced Babbler ( Stachyris whiteheadi) Endemic Due to their constant foraging and skittishness it was an effort to frame these small dynamos. I tried flash on this one due to very low light. f18, 1/200 sec, ISO 640

Awesome capture Neon. Love the Blue Headed and the White Eye. I'm sure you're going back to jail very satisfied with your birding sorties.

If you classify them as very common birds, it means that I have not been around long enough to see all of them. The only one that I have seen is the BRT. All very nice and excellent shots. Well done Neon. Mabuhay.

I like the detail on the fantail!
Good use of flash on the white eye.
Like you I also stopped to check out each shrike. Hehe. Not a single Mountain Shrike. Drat.

These may be common birds but the from pictures, you made them looked extra ordinary. Very nice indeed!

Very nice captures. These birds are not really common for many of us.

How beautiful are these "common" birds which are very uncommon for me.
