These are the kind of birding trips I look forward to - being among good friends at a place that is filled with all sorts of wonderful birds. This was a very tiring trip but well worth it coz I got 5 lifers from this trip alone. Here are my captures... I like the second picture best. Its always interesting to see birds feeding and being fed. Thank you for showing both the male and female Luzon Water Redstart. As usual the male species is more colorful and beautiful. Its good that this only applies to the bird species. In the human species its the other way around and I am confident that the men do not mind that at all. Heh heh heh. Congratulations on your lifers. Well done Tina. Mabuhay.

All excellent shots, Plain Idol Tins!! Had a great time birding with the gang!! ;D Really worth the 900+ km trip. Wow!! That nutchatch was feeding a chick already, nice documentation of the time of year they breed!!! I find it easier to bird during the breeding season as the males are singing and displaying.

Thank you so much for the kind words Toto, Ariel, Edu, Ely, Romy, Dennis and Neon. Romy: Dali IDOL, you have to go there coz the birds are such show-offs during this time of year. They like to perch in front of you and they're singing left and right during the birding hours of course. Neon: We should take note of this so that next year we can all go again during the breeding season That nuthatch photo was a bonus. Didn't even know I was able to take a mother and child until I was here na at home (after uploading my shots from my CF cards).

Well, plan Tina, looks like your natural bird magnetism is at work again.
Love that nuthatch feeding nuthatch. The immature looks mature already. Must be a spoiled brat!

Those are truly great shots Plain Idol! Why is she called "Plain"? Kasi she is so cool, calm and collected when she shoots. I had a great time with the group, but I felt like I had a sumpit compared to their HUGE arsenal!

Thank you, thank you Tonji, Rey, Mark, William, Ding and Ixi. Tonji : the feeling is mutual. We always have fun when we are with you and your honey Rey : Yes indeed, a very grand time. Would stay longer if Wency did not have to go back to work na. Ding : Naku, with the island verditer, seems like every single person in the group had a picture of it na including Aphine and I did not even SEE a single one. Prayed hard for it and the next day... WHAM !!! left and right, near and far - the vertider was all over the place with it's melodious call or song. dearest Ixi : Had so much fun. So glad that you decided to join us. Too bad nga lang that you were kinda not feeling well. Hope you are better.

Hi Tina!! Really great set of mountain birds there! Love, love, love the Nuthatch pic! I didn't even see a single Nuthatch. And, I didn't realize there were Yellowish White Eyes. I thought they were all Mountain White Eyes. CONGRATS on the lifers and all the great pics!
