martin and i went out to see if we could also capture the elusive CF.... heard it calling but they were too shy to display themselves. went to montecito, in canlubang instead and got rewarded with fullframe captures of the male and almost fullframe female pied bushchats. interestingly, i was able to use the reflex nikkor 500/f8's close focusing distance and manual focus to full use, as it flew down to the sidewalk just right beside my side of the car's window. (with these shots, i really don't mind the krispy kreme bokeh anymore! )

thanks tj, romy, tina and nestor (ygpm) you can say that again teej. now i know its limitations and strengths. stationary subjects are fine, but obviously not for fast moving ones! actually, what seems like a quail (or is it a CF pullus??? hehehe) darted across the road in front of the car but i couldn't manage to focus on it fast enough and it soon disappeared in the grass. aargh!!! managed to get a shot but i got bad amounts of glare from the windshield and hood. what do you guys think? quail or cf? (asa pa ko noh! hahaha!) yellow beak therefore a quail? more of the skylark "i love that hair!"
