My replacement 7D's AF looks ok so far, here's a couple of lanky BIFs from San Juan, Batangas. Grey Heron ( Ardea cinerea, migrant) Shooting info - San Juan, Batangas, February 12, 2010, 7D + 400 2.8 IS + Canon 1.4x TC, 475B/3421 support, 560 mm, f/5.6, ISO 250, 1/2000 sec, manual exposure in available light, major crop, 28.7 m distance. Intermediate Egret ( Egretta intermedia, migrant) Shooting info - San Juan, Batangas, February 12, 2010, 7D + 400 2.8 L IS + Canon 1.4x TC, 560 mm, f/5.6, ISO 320, 1/3200 sec, 475B/3421 support, 49.7 m distance.

The eyes have it. At 28.7 meters the bird could not fit into your frame. What a shot. It looks like the 7D is behaving beautifully in your hands. Well done Romy. Mabuhay.
