I think we all enjoy looking for new birds. I don't mind driving long distances to a new place or taking a plane or boat ride to find some interesting birds to photograph. It's just so interesting to take something new and exotic. But its also nice to take pictures of birds that are in your neighborhood. No need to drive far! I want to try improve my Alabang pictures so I started with these guys who love to pose. Those are very nice pictures. I am sure that you are a lot happier now with your new set up. Well done Tonji. Mabuhay.

Yes it is sometimes just as great to enjoy such close by birds and they are just as beautiful. At home, I just as well enjoy the watching the sunbirds and the shrikes, while hoping someday maybe a Trogon will visit.

Thanks guys. These must be one of the easier birds to photograph.
Doc Chito, ah yes waiting for the elusive Trogon. Best to wait with a beer so even if it does not show, you still win! I need a good picture of that bird myself. None of my photos of that bird are nice.
