As I posted some time back, my first Canon EOS 7D had a defective sensor (very noisy at mid-ISOs), and I had to return it to Canon Manila. They loaned me a service 7D to use while mine was being processed for replacement. I finally got the replacement 7D (a new unit) last February 1st, and I immediately ran it through a battery of tests. Noise is normal now, at par with good copies of the 7D I've tried.
Then I went to my favorite wetlands yesterday with visiting birding buddy Nilo A. to do the final test - AF at birds in flight. My new 7D's AF turned out very good, probably the best among the 5 copies of the 7D I've used so far. Ely T. and Rey. S.A. were at the wetlands too, also testing a super-DSLR.
