Tonji, Sylvia, Linda and I decided to go to Pampanga one time to take photos of the shelduck that was so far away ... I attempted to take photos but I wasn't happy with it so I decided to give up with photographing the shelduck and just have fun with the 400mm+IDM2 combo and went nuts with the many, many fliers in that area. Black Headed GullIDM2 + 400mm f/5.6 ; ISO 320 ; f/7.1 ; 1/800 ; hand held Whiskered TernIDM2 + 400mm f/5.6 ; ISO 320 ; f/8 ; 1/1000 ; hand held After the shelduck area, we decided to go to Candaba to see if the starlings were there but unfortunately they weren't. On our way out we decided to just have fun with the ultra fast swalllows. MANNNNNN it was a feat to catch them because of the speed. Since it was hand held and you had to carry the heavy combo and aim it at those birds for long periods of time, my arms were hurting like crazy but I was really happy with what I got. It was both tiring and exhilarating ;D These are the more exciting captures for me ... Barn Swallow

Beautiful, Ms Plain!
Now, why is the Black-headed Gull's head white? Why doesn't the Whiskered Tern have whiskers? Why don't I ever find Barn Swallows in barns?

Great BIF's Tina. This is the sharpest swallow BIF I have seen IMHO. Do see the insect the swallow is trying to catch in the 4th photo?
