Just got back from UPD/Hardin today with birding buddy Gabs and here are some of my better captures Yellow Bittern Nikon D90, 0.008 sec (1/125), f/5.6, 400 mm, ISO400, Handheld, 40% of pixels wasted The Common and Collared Kingfishers were there really busy diving for fish over and over! A Cinnamon Bittern was also there, the White-browed Crake and Common Moorhen both have kids Very nice to know they are thriving.

Nice picture of this resident partner. I was observing this fellow in this perch... there were times when it would sway with the gabi leaves. Is it pretending to be a gabi leaf, to deceive birdnuts?
