I was finally able to go to the famous Candaba with the help of Ely T. I loved the place most especially the time when the sun was about to shine! I would like to thank Ely T. for taking me to the place, his very warm hospitality and for giving me some tips. I wish I can stay more here in Pinas and spend more time birding. Unfortunately, works start to pile up and I have to go back to Costa Rica early next week. Here are some pics from our sorties. 400mm, f/5.6, 1/1600s ISO 200 400mm, f/5.6, 1/1000s ISO200 400mm, f/5.6, 1/3200 ISO800 400mm, f/5.6, ISO800 400mm, f/5.6 ISO400

Glad that you enjoyed the trip. Don't forget to visit the Philippines when you are on vacation. We will be looking forward to see your pictures of the beautiful birds of Costa Rica. You have a lot of pictures and your style of close range is still there. Well done Ariel. Mabuhay.

Nice Candaba set Ariel, just a little too oversharpened, artifacts are showing in my monitor but overall still a nice series.

For your information, the 2,000 or so ducks and other birds are still right in the middle of the flooded ricefields west (or back) of the watch tower. I hope you get to see them when before you leave the Philippines. Cheers!
