Excellent capture Ely, the kind you wanted to create. Must have been a very close capture and the exposure is spot on despite the harsh light.
I'm sure everyone is glad you joined us, augurs well for the forum, a very positive development to say the least. Happy New Year to you.

Very good swamphen ELy! You're so close! Thank you Paolo. Now that I have learned to use the ACR, I found out it was 14.4 meters away when I took the shots. I would say 10-15 meters would be the best distance to get good shots.

Incredible details, Ely. Happy New Year Thank you William. As I said before you are one of the guys that I saved their pictures on a separate file to inspire me to take pictures the way you guys do it.

Wow that second pic is superb! Great shot. Take a bow Ely, I really like this photo. Thank you Tonji. When I saw how big the bird was I said to myself that this is the closest I have ever seen this bird and I hope I get a good shot. I am bowing. Bow, Bow, Bow.

I'd have to agree with the guys, these are fantastic ... specially the 2nd one. Truly amazing details !!! Thank you Tina. It might be of interest for you to know that your pictures were also set aside in a separate file, when I was a beginner at the Forum. I knew what I wanted and I think I am getting closer to what I want with my pictures.

I'm sure everyone is glad you joined us, augurs well for the forum, a very positive development to say the least. Happy New Year to you. Thank you Rey. It was 14.4 meters to be exact. You are the other person that I have set aside your bird pictures to inspire me to take good photos. So most of you that have inspired me have responded very positively to this thread. It proves to me that I was not wrong in choosing your pictures to inspire me. You guys really know your stuff.

Those are incredible shots Ely! Looking forward to more beauties from you this coming 2010 and Mabuhay!! :-) Thank you Bobby. We all know that luck plays a big part like I was lucky this time that the bird was only 14.4 meters away. I assure you that I will try my best and share whatever good pictures that I might have.
