This affordable P&S with super slomo capture is now in-stock at B&H, where it's listed at USD 449.99 (less than PHP 21K at current forex rates). I wonder if anybody has seen this being sold locally? It will make an excellent slomo camera for macro and for approachable birds. SALIENT SPECS:Image File Formats RAW (DNG) JPEG (Fine, Normal, Economy) Recorded Resolution RAW/10M (3648 x 2736) 3:2 (3648 x 2432) 16:9 (3648 x 2048) 9M (3456 x 2592) 7M (3072 x 2304) 4M (2304 x 1728) 2M (1600 x 1200) VGA (640 x 480) Video Recording AVI format, Motion JPEG with audio HD Movies (1280 x 720 @ 30 fps)STD Movies (640 x 480 @ 30 fps) Hi-Speed Movies 1 HS 1000 (224 x 64 @ 1000 fps) Hi-Speed Movies 2 HS 420 (224 x 168 @ 420 fps) Hi-Speed Movies 3 HS 240 (448 x 336 @ 240 fps) Hi-Speed Movies 4 HS 120 (640 x 480 @ 120 fps)Hi-Speed Movies 5 HS 30-240 (448 x 336 @ 30-240 fps) Hi-Speed Movies 6 HS 30-120 (640 x 480 @ 30-120 fps) Optical Zoom 20x Lens Focal Length 4.6-92.0mm (26-520mm equivalent) Here's a sample (not mine) of what can be done with macro slomo taken by the older, more expensive Casio EX-F1 (USD 999), most probably at 512 x 384 @ 300 fps. In comparison, the cheaper FH-25 can go 448 x 336 @ 240 fps, or 640 x 480 @ 120 fps, which are almost as good. The F1 has a shorter reach though (36 - 432mm equivalent), compared to the FH-25's 26-520mm, making the latter better at bird slomos.
