Some people like the light in the afternoon, the golden glow that makes everything pretty. Others like the soft light and long shadows of dawn. I am a morning person and I do like the early morning sun. In a place like Candaba early morning photography is such a pleasure. All these photos were taken between 6:40am to 7:30am. I am a morning person just like you and I like the morning light as it seems to last longer. I like the afternoon light too but it seems to be shorter than the morning light. The pictures you took are superb. Are you not glad that you got the 500? Next target for you is the 800. Well done Tonji. Mabuhay.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. Ed, yup I like to be on the spot before all the action happens so I don't waste the active "birding hour." Ely, I seem to see more things in the morning than the afternoon. Your a bad boy Ely suggesting I get yet another lens. I think you must be working for Canon.

I agree with you there seems to be more birds in the morning than in the afternoon. I don't work for Canon but I do work with them on certain things. Having use their long lens, I can say that I am very satisfied with it. Knowing how restless you can be to keep on taking better pictures, my fearless forecast is that you will eventually get one. Go for it Tonji. Mabuhay.

Great lighting on all Tonji. It appears that all the birds still look kind of sleepy? , just like me when I do my early, early morning birding. The first is my favorite.
