Sylvia and I went to Candaba this morning. This one scene made the drive worthwhile. The little chick riding on the back of mom. Its something we have seen in books and the internet and when we both saw it on our camera viewfinders there were a lot of oooohhhs and aaahhhhs. We took a lot of pics today but this is the one I really wanted to view on my computer first. Little GrebeCanon 50D, Canon 500mm, 1.4 TC, ISO 160,1/400, f7.1, resting on car window

Thanks for the nice comments Tina, Neon, Edu, Romy and Toto. Edu, you can take a vehicle to the Mayors place. Avoid the deep parts and you should be fine.

That's a real beauty. Pictures like this should be place in school books so that children will value the wonders of nature. Well done Tonji. Mabuhay.

Thanks Ely, William and Alain. I took the picture at the first hour after sunrise and the light was really ideal. The light and the weather are fickle things, I was lucky to be there at the right time.

Thanks Boy, Luna, Jp and Nilo. Sylvia and I were lucky to come across them so near the edge. We did not get out of the car so they would not get scared.
