I've always liked Whiskered Terns, they were my "spark" bird (the bird that got me into birding). I think they look better in flight than sitting down. Their feathers make me think of angels. I agree. The wings of the first photo reminds me of angels too Love the details of the feathers of the BWS. Can't wait to go to Candaba... been too long.

Thank you Martin, Alain, Edu, and Dennis! This was before the last typhoon (Santi) and it was quite muddy. Also, the ducks weren't there yet. There was an Eastern Marsh Harrier, lifer for us. Always thrilling to see a raptor!

WOW!! its also thrilling to see the ducks fly for their lives when that raptor flies around. Is that a duck I see flying away?

Thank you guys! Thanks Edu, Tina, Romy, Toto and William.
TINA -- hand held! Hahaha! We ran out of the car, no time to set up the tripod!
EDU -- those were Black Crowned Night Herons in the background. At first, we thought there were no birds in the pond. Then, they all rose up from the water lilies and started flying round and round. Raptor! We got really excited, but they didn't look that alarmed by the EMH .. I don't think any of them got eaten! It was fun to try to spot the raptor among the BCNH and get a shot. I should have taken off the tc, but it all happened so quickly.
