I took these last Sunday. This was the day we saw the Trogon and first saw the Blue and White Flycatcher. It was a interesting birding day. Quite a number of birds showed up. Here are a few others from that day. This hornbill was an early capture. He was quite shy and did not want to give us a nice full shot. But he was kind enough to show his head and give me this detailed look at his horn. Tarictic HornbillISO 200, 1/250, f5.6 car window I always stop by this tree to see if these guys are around. It was a bit dark so I moved the ISO up higher than I like and opened to f4.0 to blur the bg. I could not use a super slow shutter as he was pecking away. The hornbill must be a great grandfather. Did you noticed that some parts of the bill is starting to wear out? That is how clear and sharp your picture is. Well done Tonji. Mabuhay.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
Tina- I went there na three times last week! The last one was strange as it was all covered in fog. But we saw 20 malkohas in one tree.
Go to Palay Palay with Lovey. Lots of action in the morning. I can't go this weekend super busy tomorrow.
Ely- yup the beak has seen better days!
