saw this lovely.. lovely wing-flapper this morning during my routine rounds in the garden.. Of course I know it is a butterfly, but a more specific ID will be appreciated. I know Telyds can ID this in a split second but I can't for the life of me.. ;D taken with my Nikon D60 + Sigma 70-300 at 300mm, ISO200, 1.400

It is a Lime butterfly. Papilio demoleus. Its a common but very beautiful butterfly.

Ooops, I missed this one. Sorry Edu, I think I was in Mt. Banahaw when this was posted. He, he. kayang-kaya naman ni Adri. This butterfly lays egg on Citrus plants that is why it is called the lime butterfly. There is only one family that lay egg on citrus, Papilios. There are various kinds. Thanks for sharing. telyds
