Among the veggies we're growing in our tiny backyard garden are string beans, saluyot, squash, katuray, and patola. These plants are a host to many insects and other creatures that the Sigmonster Tamer's Domestic Boss hates because they damage the crops, and we don't wish to use chemical pesticides. The Sigmonster Tamer, ever the non-conformist, loves the crawling and flying creatures, as these provide him a variety of macro subjects when he can't go out to bird. The backyard birds agree with the Sigmonster Tamer.... the bugs are a daily feast to my avian friends. Here's a small butterfly for Ate Lyds from today's sortie in my backyard - 1DM2 + 100 2.8 USM macro, f/8, 1/160 sec, ISO 400, AI servo, Sigma EF-500 DG Super flash in M mode (1/32 power), hand held, resized full frame: And here's a snapshot of a young patola fruit, barely out of blossom, and about a week way from being paired with misua and some shrimps for a mean lunch fare..... ;D ;D ;D 1DM2 + 100 2.8 USM macro, f/2.8, 1/160 sec, ISO 400, AI servo, manual exposure in available light (no flash), hand held, resized full frame
