This fellow was hanging upside down at a saluyot plant in my garden this morning.... it's relatively huge by insect standards (3 to 3.5 inches long), so I just concentrated my framing on the head and "claw" area. 1DM2 + 100 2.8 USM macro, 1/160 sec, f/8, ISO 400, AI servo with an off-center point, Sigma EF-500 DG Super flash in M mode (1/32 power), hand held, resized full frame:
