Test video post I recorded the call of the Blue-Headed Fantail with my phone, edited out the background noise and made a movie using Windows Movie Maker. Then uploaded it to youtube. I also uploaded it in my multiply site

Wow......love it, Neon! What a novel way to present a beautiful bird. Thanks Master Romy!! I was just testing if recordings done with my phone would be good enough when edited. Looks like phone voice recorders could be use to capture bird calls.

Hi Neon, Please try to look for a small parabolic, directional microphone at electronic stores near your prison. We can easily record good quality songs if we can scoop most of the sound waves coming our way. If the mic is cheap, I'm gonna buy one too so my birding buddy can record while I shoot. He he he, I was thinking on the same line, Aphine holding the recorder while I shoot. Yes, I saw one in Thailand but don't know if when I'll go there again. I'll try to look for it near my current prison site. I guess the phone recorder is good enough as you can edit out the other sounds (noise) and increase the volume using PS sound booth. Thanks Bobby and Rey, now I have something to do when I could only hear the bird ;D
