Finally mustered enough appetite to wield my shooting gear again, a few weeks after the great flood. Pretty soon, my bird flu should come back with a vengeance. ;D _______________________________ A fly (total length is circa 10 mm) preens itself atop a leaf which is slightly swaying in a gentle breeze. Thanks, folks! ;D wow! those hind lengs are amazing. They can twist the clean almost the entire body. great video mastah! Looks to me like the Canadarm, the Space Shuttle's mechanical arm ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadarm ) is but a poor copy of the fly's hind legs. Amazing that the rear legs can reach and clean any part of the fly, including the overwing and face!

Hmmmm....hygienic bangaws eh? They may be clean but maybe they smell? I wish to see one doing his thing under the rainshower or close to a raindrop... + a scented flower perhaps? When will I see a butterfly siphoning nectar from a bloom or male butterfly wooing a female? I will wait for another great docu. Ka Romy. By the way, the dragontail butterflies in Subic are in season. telyds

If anyone can use their legs in dancing just as agile as the fly does it they will be the world's best dancer. Its amazing how the fly can extend his reach in all directions and with such speed. Thank you for sharing. Well done Romy. Mabuhay.
