Hi Romy. I know you are very busy now but I would like to send you this shot of a Pied Bushchat that I process and turned blue. Is there something wrong with the photo that I took or was it over process? The raw file cannot be sent thru here so I will PM it to you. Please complete your evaluation on the 7D as there are many of us waiting for your valued opinion and answer this when you are done. Thank you.

Ely, this is a simple white balance issue. If the auto white balance of the camera didn't work well for a shot, you can change this during RAW conversion.
You can try the preset WB - Daylight, shade, cloudy, etc., or you can adjust the WB by varying the color temperature. If there's a black, white or gray portion of the photo, you can also use "click" white balance. Choose the WB that best approximates the colors you saw when you took the shot.

The color cast is a bit "cold." As suggested by Mastah Romy, I tried to change the WB to Shade.
Sir Ely, I hope you don't mind me editing your photo.adminnote: Admin Note: I appreciate the comment, but such is not allowed in this board except from the one asking for critique and the Sigmonster Tamer.

Looks much better, Ely. Are you using DPP to convert? The BG is a bit high in saturation, which is quite expected for this type of exposure - a dark bird with a much brighter BG. To mitigate the over saturation, you can do either the following routines:
1. Try re-converting using a Neutral Picture Style and daylight WB, then process according to your usual workflow.
Or
2. Select the BG on the posted shot, then apply a mild desaturation on it.

I stop using DPP. It was suggested that I go direct to Lightroom and than Photoshop. Would you suggest that I use DPP first before I go to Lightroom? Thank you.

The only reason I'm asking if you use DPP is it's the one I'm familiar with. I haven't used Lightroom yet, so I don't know its properties. Use whatever RAW converter you're comfortable with. Just experiment with the picture styles (or its equivalent in LR) to see which gives the less saturated BG for this photo.
