Sounds from orange-chinned parakeets are usual every morning in my place and this morning was no different. Having nothing much to do, I grabbed my cam and took some pics. Longer lens would've been perfect. 1/500 f/6.3 ISO800 cropped, handheld

Consider yourself fortunate to have birds in your backyard. It must be wonderful to hear them chirp early in the morning plus you get to take their photos. Are these birds similar to the Ringeyed African Lovebirds? Nice pictures Ariel. Mabuhay.

You are very lucky to have such lovely, noisy birds in your backyard... but i guess they are lucky too that in your country they are well respected and preserved... Cheers and well done Ariel!

Thanks Ely, Binot, JV, Toto and Alain. These parrots look like the African lovebirds. I am fortunate enough to live in a country where environment is the foremost concern of the government. Twice last year, there were Scarlet Macaws that also dropped by within the same place where I took this picture. The condominium building where my family and I are living is located beside a number of century-old trees and pairs of parrots like this are very common most especially in the morning and late in the afternoon.
