Kindly delete this thread if it doesn't qualify as a "nature" because these ancient Inca ruins are man-made. I just want to share this scenery during recent trip to Peru. 400D, 21mm, f/10, 1/125s ISO 200, handheld

Wow!! Cool, Is this place really accessible? How do you reach this place now a days? ;D Would it still entail walking for several miles? This is one of the places that I want to see in person. ;D

Thanks binot and neon2rosell for viewing. Yes, this place is very much accessible. There is daily a flight to the old Inca capital of Cuzco from Lima. And from Cuzco, a total of about 4 hrs travel by car and train will get you to the place. Just be aware that Cuzco is between 3200mts to 3600mts above sea level and high altitude sickness (or soroche) is very common and might spoil your trip. Allow me to share some more pictures of Cuzco city. 400D, 18mm, f/9.0, 2.5s ISO400 CUZCO AT NIGHT 18mm, f/9.0, 1/500s ISO200 CUZCO BY DAY Thanks for viewing.

Nice shot of a very famous place. How long did you stay there? I understand that the sunrise and sunset there is beautiful. What is the minimum number of days one should stay there to get the most out of the place? Well done Ariel. Mabuhay.

Thanks Ely!
We stayed in Lima for 3 days and in Cuzco for 5 days. I was surprised to see that Lima is so beautiful and if we only knew, we would have stayed there longer.
I think a month of stay is the best because the country has so much things to offer. They also have plenty of places for nature and wildlife photography. Best of all, its much cheaper there compare here Costa Rica.

It would be too expensive to be in Peru for one month. Heh heh heh. I am only asking about staying in Machu Piche. How many days do you think is the minimum? If I have a place to stay there than its ok but in a hotel it will be too expensive. Thanks.

Hola Ely, I think 2-3 days are enough. There are hotels located in the place called Aguas Calientes, which is just 30mins from Macchu Picchu. In our itenerary, we were supposed to spend an overnight there but my daughter got sick due to altitude sickness. I ended up going to Macchu Picchu by myself for one day and left my family in Cuzco.
