Rufous Coucal (Centropus unirufus, endemic)Size - 390 mm total length Habitat - Uncommon in understory of forests. Range - Luzon, Catanduanes and Polillo islands. Photographed at Subic rainforest, Zambales province, by Tina Mallari on August 7, 2006 - 350D + 400 5.6L, 1/250 sec, f/5.6, ISO 400, hand held: Note - Among the very few known photos (all taken by Tina M. and Ding C., both of PBPF) of this species captured in habitat.
