Went down to Ternate with usual partner in crime JP to tour one of our Australian Connections, Mr. Jonathan Dael. Migratory season has already passed, so we were hoping to see some other regulars in our favorite forest. Muchos Salamat to JP who took the role of Bird Spotter that day. Thanks everyone for the kind words. I actually had a hard time fixing the white balance for this capture. Since this robin has light and dark plumage, I had to push a bit to expose this bird, thus kinda over-blowing the BG. Which makes me think how more difficult it would have been to capture the male....good to know luck is still on my side. @nestor: It's nice to be back in the saddle for even just a day. I heard you were back, so I had to do some practice runs before we meet. Hehe!

Great colors on this one. Also your woodpecker! And it's Philippine Magpie Robin now .. in WBCP they said it was given species status.
