Hey Guys! Bird Newbie here with a stupid question....my good friend JP advised me to use RAW when taking photos during shoots to help in the Post Processing. However, I can't seem to open NEF files in my CS2 Program. I'm using a Nikon D80. Would appreciate it if someone can tell me a work around or can point me out to link to a plug-in of some sort. Many Thanks in advance!

Hi Martin, Check your ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) version if it's ACR 3.6 or ACR 3.7. If I recall right, versions earlier than the above do not support the D80 yet. How to check version - open CS2, click help and then system info.... the ACR plug in version should be listed there among other things. It's kinda tough to get ACR 3.6 or 3.7 now from official Adobe sites (considered obsolete already), but I have a copy of the ACR 3.6 on file. If you've checked the version and it's ACR 3.5 or earlier, then that's the problem and I can email you a copy of ACR 3.6, together with the instructions on how to install the plug-in. Romy Hey Guys! Brilliant capture, Martin.... good detail and composition! Tip: I noticed that the photo is in Adobe RGB color space. The default color space for the web is sRGB. Posting web images in ARGB will result into more muted colors. ;D Romy Couldn't resist the Oconific itch.....went to my backyard and shot the 1st bird I saw...... will further work on my post process though....this RAW stuff is cool!!!
