Makiling, Philippines, June 10, 2009, Canon 5D2 (FW 1.1.0) + Sigmonster (Sigma 300-800 DG) + Canon 2x TC + Sennheiser MKE 400 mic, 1600 mm, Manfrotto 475B/3421 support, manual exposure in available light, f/18, 1/60-1/100 sec, ISO 200, 1920x1080 capture processed and resized to 1280x720, noise/hiss in audio cleaned up a bit.

Thanks, Manny. I just re-edited the footage to include the portion when the cicada's buzzing was stopped by the sharp beak of the Falconet.

It was gory to see the Cicada being eaten live piece by piece until it stop its buzzing. I guess thats how the nature of balance is establish. Very nice documentation. Thank you for sharing. Mabuhay.

Thanks, Ely. I watched this action live through the 5D2's large LCD during filming and I was amazed at nature's "violence." With each large piece of the cicada bit off by the falconet, the buzzing sputtered and eventually died out. Glad we Homo sapiens are on top of the food chain.
