It was all well planned. Wife and I were to visit a kumpare to surprise him on his birthday June 10 in Cebu. Connived with the kumare. Jun 12, we planned out a birding sortie with my kumpare. He's actually "stolen" a number of my bird prints to decorate his new office and is getting interested on birds as well. So Jun12 (today!), we should be going to Olango with a cooler full of beer and an excellent bottle of Spanish wine, all attired sand-colored outfits and I will introduce him to the wonderful avifauna-world. Even got the tide schedule factored in so birds come close to us as we wait.
But my son's class in Ateneo got hit with A(H1N1), formerly known as swine flu, Saturday. When we got test results Tue, we had to cancel the trip. Hu-hu-hu
Whole family's been in self-quarantine all week, devouring ice cream and DVDs. Hu-hu-hu.

That's a sad story Ding. Am in the same situation as you though a bit different as I came from abroad myself. Am out today finally! Whew! Good luck!
