This technique is called the "Neon Rustle."
When you chance upon a Nightjar in the daytime (when s/he's normally asleep) and wish to take a photo with eyes open (the nightjar's and yours), try shaking the leaves of a nearby tree.
Technique discovered by Neon Rosell (wink wink pun pun).

I can attest to the effectiveness of the [glow=red,2,300]Neon Rustle[/glow]. One caution though.... I overdid it once (equivalent of typhoon-force rustle), and the nighjar almost injured its eyelids due to overstretching.... ;D ;D ;D Romy
