During my park outing last Saturday, I saw these two red-necked grebe in courtship. The male is helping the female to build a nest. I've learned that giving of weeds is actually part of the courtship display. Every once in a while, these two would meet, their necks forming a heart shape and making a distinct loud sound. It's really a lovely sight to see and many people stopped to see these wonderful display of courtship. Sorry for the harsh light, mid-day. Thanks for looking. All shots using Km2000+Sigma 100-300mm+Sigma 1.4x TC F5.0, 1/1000s, ISO400, 300mm F7.1, 1/500s, ISO400, 280mm F5.0, 1/1000s, ISO400, 300mm Cheers, Conrad

Nice shots of red-necked grebe, Conrad! I like #2 and #3 the most. Thanks Ed. It's my first time to see the grebe. I'll try to return at the place early morning next time for better lighting. Cheers
