Hi guys, I got these photos in Aguang(?) reservoir on our first day in Baler. Mark Wallbank and Prof. Jerry's initial ID was a Pechora's Pipit mainly due to the size but Mark advised me to post it for confirmation. Please bear with the images -- these are the closest I got. Thank you.

Attention Desmond Allen: Do you remember when we were on the Aguang Reserva beach (where these photos have been taken) earlier in April? We noted that one of the pipits had highly contrasting very dark markings. Unfortutnately, we were not able to look at it with the spotting scope.
Mark, I do not think that this is the individual we were referring to. I remember the individual has had darker and more contrasting markings on its back and wings with very obvious white belly. Unfortunately for me, I have been able to spot it only once because someone else was using my binoculars, having forgotten hers.
I plan to go back before July to record: 1. Edible-nest swiflets we saw in the caves near Dicasalarin cove, 2. Breeding black-naped terns (there might be other terns mixed with them), and 3. This possible Pechora Pipit. Anyone interested?

Prof Jerry, I'm go with your next exploration in Baler before July. Just post or text when will that be.
From the discussions that Toto, Mark, Dennis and I have made while traveling-cum-birding from Baler to Manila, the following are our suggestion:
1. In going to Baler from Manila, we bird along the way starting from the rough road beginning at 5:30am at that point and ending 3pm in D to bird more until 5pm.
2. For the next 2 days, we bird at the port, islands and other places that need to be explored in Baler. This can be compressed in 1 day if days are limited.
3. In going back to Manila on the 3rd or 4th day, we bird again from D at 5am and ending at the end of the rough road at about 4pm.
4. A van can carry about 5-6 bird photographers + 1-2 bird guides, and this will compose 1 Team. The number of vans will depend on the number of teams, which will depend on the number of photographers who will join.
5. Of course it is desired if the exploration trip will be all expenses paid if there will be sponsors, but participants can easily equally share in the expenses.
6. Hope we can organize similar Exploration Trips at least once a month. Anybody can lead in organizing one while others will just sign-up when notice is posted.
These are just our ideas.
