Sensor dust I guess bob. I can see the black spots in the photo as well though not a obvious as the ones in the video.

Thanks guys, I looked closely at both and it appears that they are indeed sensor dust. (It just shows that my 62 year old eyes aren't that good anymore ;D). I guess my problem now is that I've only used this camera thrice without ever taking off the attached lens and it gathered this much sensor dust already? I even keep the gear inside a camera bag when not in use. Ooops, I accidentally deleted the original post. Anyway, here they are again. Here's the uncropped still photo

Bob, the 5DM2 movie mode prefers f/45 in bright light, when using a long lens. At this Av, even the smallest sensor dust is guaranteed to be visible. I go around this programming quirk by pointing the lens at a darker area (partially covering the front of the lens works too), then locking the exposure when the Av switches to f/16. We really need that manual exposure firmware (or hack) to make life easier.
