Amazing why this bird chose to build its nest close to the reception area of VE. I suspect Nestor trained this cute birds as part of the cultural/natural show in VE. For you, Carmela. Canon 40D 300mm F4L IS 0.01 sec (1/100) f/5.0 ISO500 Canon 40D 300mm F4 L IS 0.003 sec (1/400) ISO 640 -0.1 sec (1/10)f/22.6 iso200 and the Phil. Pygmy Woodpecker closeby, its got to be part of the show-with the Oriental Magpie Robins and the Olive Backed sunbirds. Yes, right at the reception area. So you can just imagine what kind of avian life you will find inside the resort! adminnote: Admin Note: Hehe.... Telyds, I edited your title because in net forums, using all caps means shouting.

Wow!! Really nice!! I went birding in Villa Escudero only once before, and I was still using a point and shoot at the time. I saw the Oriental Magpie Robins then, but only in that waterfall area where you eat lunch and there wasn't much light.

Oh thanks for the comment and the reminder Mastah Romy, I did not know that bawal din sa headings . I will remember. Excited kasi. When you visit VE, make sure Mela will bring you to Dolores. Ely, ikaw ha, you have become my conscience. I have been birdwatching for 5 years already but butterflies are my real passion. I have been butterfly watching for 10 years (that's why my e-mail has a 99 for 1999, when I started). You just do not see the photos I have taken of butterflies. There has to be another board for that. Soon, soon. Oh, and also, it sad that the indiscriminate clearing of the forest ground cover in many places I have been has taken its toll on butterfly population. I get to see more birds than butterflies that's why my shift to a longer lens - but not more than 300mm else the writing on the wall which you say may come true. No, Edu, I don't remember the song... maybe I should pay more attention when I go there again. Syl, That parade did not include the YVBs, the ETS, the L. White eyes, the flowerpeckers and the WCKF. Yep, in the same area plus the uwaks pa and the kalabaws. Thanks also Mark and Toto. I know these are not good shots. it's hard playing with the afternoon light that quickly dimmed plus a terrible monopod (better than nothing). I have a very good lens, I should deliver, but I've got to learn more pa. Thanks Carmela for being so generous with your time and sharing your place. Maraming salamat po! telyds
