...from photography? My first and feeble attempt at videography. Western Bluebird taken at high noon, thus the harsh light 5D2, 500mm+1.4X on a tripod. can't remember the exif data ;D

Wooohooo. Transitioning to HDV too Bob? ;DOh scratch that, you edited your post. Congrats on the 5D2, with the 500 (IS?) ... great rig! Is the bluebird breeding? The color is so intense. Thanks Bob for sharing.

Congratulations Bob! A very good start on videography.
Now that there seems to be a trend of transitioning from DSLR photography to DSLR videography..... I still have to transition from P&S photography to DSLR photography... ;D

Wow!! Congratulations on your new toy Bob!! Welcome to the bird videographers' club!! ;D Great first try, and we can call you "Derek" Bob as well. ;D It makes birding more exciting as you'll be in a dilemma as whether to shoot stills or video when confronted with a new situation. ;D Since you are a photographer first, shoot some stills first and if the bird is cooperative switch to video mode. ;D And, if lighting is to low for shooting stills, go for the video.

WoW! 5D2 + 500 way to go bob - looks like will see more from ur rig...yeah! this 5d2 is what im saving up fr imagine going FF + HD video what a wonderful excuse to my wife Bob lets see more im hungry! best regards
