Saw this male canada goose got in so close to where the pair (male & female) leisurely resting. The male was of course not happy with the intrusion and ....starting to chase the intruder. (F6.7, 1/750, ISO200, 110mm) the intruder doesn't want to fight and decided to go away (F6.7, 1/750, ISO140, 100mm) But the other male is probably very pissed off and continue to give a chase (F6.7, 1/750, ISO200, 100mm) The next two photos show what happened when the 1st male catch-up with the intruder. (F6.7, 1/750, ISO200, 100mm) (F6.7, 1/750, ISO200, 100mm) All shots taken with Pentax K10D+Sigma 100-300/F4 + Sigma 1.4x TC Cheers ------------------- Conrad

Nice series of a usual male behavior, very protective (i.e. possessive). ;D

Great series of photos - all very sharp! Please put the shooting details (exif data). Thanks. Thanks Bob for the nice comments and exif data has been added. Nice series of a usual male behavior, very protective (i.e. possessive). ;D I somehow anticipated that a fight will happen when the male start to make a loud sound (as if shouting) while the male intruder is approaching. It gives me some time to prepare. Thanks for the comments.
