Those are the symptoms of the Avian Lunacy which we all blissfully have, of course we've all gone crazy. Haven't you notice the things that we have to go through to capture bird images. Now, if you can get out again tonight and try to capture birds when it's in front of the moon then that would be awesome. Wait for a big flock to appear before you shoot. If you will stay out in the cold for hours to get one shot, then you surely caught the wonderful malady. By the way, did I mention that it get's worse.

Hehe, nice unique shot Edu. As Rey said, you've only just begun, and there's no other way for you to go but into deeper avian lunacy! ;D I can't believe myself.. is this going too far? Taking out my tele at night and looking for birds? ;D My wife claims I have gone mad...

Edu, I can relate. I have been trying to photograph a Savannah Nightjar in Alabang at night. Its a good thing the security guards are familiar with me. It looks really strange walking around the village at night with a tripod and a camera. I have taken some photos using ISO 3600 for 13 seconds! Hehe. The nightjar looks like a brown blob. I have to get closer. But they are skittish birds. I better let my neighbors know so they don't get surprised. I think there is another kind of nightjar also, I heard it again last night. Possibly a Philippine Nightjar. Hehe. Happy night photography!

You don't want to be known as the village peeping tom or get shot for being mistaken as a burglar.

Taking out my tele at night and looking for birds? ;D My wife claims I have gone mad... gone mad? ;D Another poster braved the rains and seemed like getting every opportunity in the pauses. Now, this time, ignoring the odds at night and his wife's reactions. Ahahahhaha... what could be next? Rain plus midnight plus flood plus leptospirosis .... plus an overly irritated wife's shouts? ;D oh dear.... the passion with photography. addiction?

Happens usually during full moon. I'd go for what you do. The highest crime rate according to studies is during a full moon- when it is high tide and the body's water level reaches the brain... some gets "buang" from the root word buan or buwan. Fights are common during a full moon. Some people go on water fasting during a full moon. Birdwatching during a full moon? Fine if you are looking for an owl in between you and the moon, acceptable... but raptor watching... Nakakabuang. Well, it's better than killing somebody. Oh, the wife is mad... get a high premium life insurance and make PBPG your beneficiary. Lubusin mo na. telyds on a not so full moon.

Edu, for all I know, you're actually looking for your "culasisi" in the middle of the night. It's good that you've chance upon "that" shot ... for an alibi. Very nice, really.
