Here in the U.S. when birders see a particularly brightly colored bird, they refer to it as an "eye candy". My wife and I got lucky when we visited Big Morongo Valley last Apr. 24th. We got five eye candies! Hooded Oriole 30D, 100-400 @ 400mm, ISO-640, 1/400, f7.1, handheld Yellow Warbler 40D, 500mm+1.4X, ISO-500, 1/400, f7.1, tripod, gimbal head Western Bluebird 40D, 500mm+1.4X, ISO-500, 1/800, f10 Vermillion Flycatcher 40D, 500mm+1.4X, ISO-500, 1/500, f8 Western Tanager 40D, 500mm+1.4X, ISO-500, 1/500, f8

Eye candies indeed Bob. Those are among the few colorful birds in California.
Very nice collection, thanks for sharing.
