Hi Guys, I was in Baguio last week for the 18th annual Wildlife Conservation Society Symposium a yearly gathering of wildlife researchers, scientist, conservationist and academe. I was glad Neon attended the WCSP symposium and represented PBPF as an institution. During the institutional report Neon introduces PBPF to the rest of the participants and invited them to visits our gallery. Thanks to Neon for a very good introduction of the club. Next year’s WCSP meeting will be held in Manila (tentative venue UP Dilliman, somewhere Metro Manila or somewhere in Mindanao). Hope we can elevate this into a higher level, we can present a poster presentation about the forum showcasing some first photo documented, rediscovered and newly recorded birds species in the country. We are lucky to see for the first time the Snowy-browed Flycatcher Ficedula hyperythra and meet some WBCP member in Camp John Hay. Anyways this are the documentary shot of both male and female Snowy-browed Flycatcher. Cheers, Godo www.flickr.com/photos/siloy/3464970052/ female 30D + EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM + 1.4x Kenko TC, f8, 1/125 sec, ISO 1600, Av priority, Tripod support, Raw capture. www.flickr.com/photos/siloy/3464153087/ male 30D + EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM + 1.4x Kenko TC, f8, 1/100 sec, ISO 1600, Av priority, Tripod support, Raw capture.

Wow!! Godo!! I missed this one!! It was Just unfortunate that I was not able to go with you guys at Camp John Hay to see this rare species.
Hahahaha!! I have nothing to write under institution so I wrote PBPF, when I registered. It was really a surprise that the organizers asked us to say a little about the institution we belong to. It was just a short introductory on what our group was and boasted that we have the biggest collection of listed Philippine Birds (75%) all photographed in the wild or in habitat.
Really glad to have met you and Lisa Marie in person for the first time. Congratulations on your work regarding bird conservation in general and on the paper you presented "Conserving core habitat in the highlands of Cebu, crucial to the conservation of Critically Endangered Cebu Flowerpecker (Dicaeum quadricolor)" by Lisa Marie Paguntalan and Philip Godfrey Jakosalem.
Glad to have you both scientists (Wildlife Biologist) and passionate conservationist in this group!! ;D
Congratulations also for bagging this rare species!!
