I was taking photos this afternoon when I bumped into Des Allen and Christian Perez. They were birding in Alabang trying to see if they could find some of the birds in a list Sylvia gave Christian sometime back. We were lucky and found an Oriental Cuckoo! It was easily spooked so we could not go too near, maybe 100 feet or so away. Too far for the super detailed style with the 400mm I was using. The sun was also going down as it was nearing 6:00 pm and the subject was backlit. Hopefully Sylvia and I will get a better photo in the coming days. Lifer for me ;D. Romy, Rey, TeLyds, Mark and William, thank you.
Mark, I have seen lots of birds in Alabang. It seems to have a decent bird population for such an old subdivision. In fact I saw two others yesterday that were "Alabang" lifers for me. One was a Cockatoo and the other was a Blue Naped Parrot. Funny that they were together. I believe Tina M has the most experience with Alabang birds.
