Thanks for all the comments on the yellow throated leaf bird guys, Inspired ako. Anyway here are 4 more birds that we saw when we were there. I was proud as a peacock when I got this. The trick is to make an early arrangement with the boatman going to the underground river so that you will be there before 6am and catch this beauty when the park guys are feeding it rice (tuk tuk they call and this peacock appears) Canon 40D 300 mm f4 IS with 2x Kenko 1/60 f4 iso 1600 At Balsahan river near iwahig prison with our convict guide (don't ask for what or you will be sorry you asked ) after about 2 hours hike and crossing 5 slippery streams we were rewarded with this sight. Canon 40D, 300 mm F4 IS 2x Kenko, 1/400 F4 + .33 exp comp ISO 1200 At a birdy sabang resort (forgot the name for now) we were just sitting at the restaurant balcony when the chestnut breasted beauty came. Canon 40D, 300mm F4 IS, 1/200 F4, ISO 800 At underground river park also look for this unusual bird ( makes a really scary whooooo sound) The tabon scrub fowl. Canon 40D, 300 mm F4, 1/50 F4, ISO 1250 with flash adieu Chito

Yes Tina I think that is the name. The owner is European and is very well acquainted with birds. The place is an excellent area for birds, just on the grounds and specially the balcony. We knew it on the last day we were there and end up wishing we had more time. So when are you going? Thanks again for all the comments guys. Chito
