Went birding this AM with Nestor and Tina today to (I think Canlubang area). Except for having my front wheel fall through a manhole in the middle of the street (watch out for these- since there are lots of these open manholes-sometimes well hidden by the grass on the road, if any of you guys are going soon to this place.) I had lots of fun. Franco (Chinese Francolin) was not present though but in its place the oriental skylark provided the entertainment. canon 40D 300mm F4 IS 1/500 f4 iso 400 2x kenko extender Canon 40D 300mm F4 IS 2x kenko extender F4 1/640 iso 400 Chito

Canlubang is my birthplace! I lived there 20 years. Sayang, I was not interested with birds and butterflies then and can only remember the swallows every afternoon flying in the widespan of the old golf course which was across our house. I told JC we wil go inside the hacienda to check if there are birds there. With this post, I think I want to go this week-end.

Whoooey! OS!
Too bad I just read your post. I was at Tagaytay yesterday for half a day and could've dropped by Canlubang. Oops. Forgot. I'm lens-less (sent for cleaning). Arrrgh... (sound of a man banging his head on table over missing his favorite toy)
