I have a 105 f2.8 macro lens and an all around Sigma 17-70mm 2.8-3.5 and another wild angle macro. I was decided to buy a 70-200 F4 L IS but was given the ran around by a camera dealer. It was a blessing in disguise though because after talking to Mastah Romy, he said that I should get the camera Tina, Ixi, Neon and Bong have been using. There is no mistake about owning one. That will make my gear complete- good for butterflies and birds. I just found out that my book partner- butterfly buddy recently bought one in Canada.
Now I have called the Hidalgo outlets and they are out of stock. Is there anyone here who can get a good deal directly from Canon?
I will appreciate your feedbacks.
ready to plunge, telyd

Thank you, Bong, with all my heart and money, for making my day! I know you are not quite ready to part with one of your special ones, but I promise I will take care of this grand baby. The first Palawan endemic will be dedicated to you. Sorry, Mon, naunahan na kita. It will not be easy to find even a brand new one. It takes time before you can get an order. There, ligawan mo kaya yung kay Tina. Or better yet, pray that she will win the lotto and she will give all of us the camera of our dream. Ka ROMY, I have been watching all your videos. If the 5D Mark 2 that I will have next will include your skill in handling, I'd jump on the band wagon. Tinaaaaaaa, buy your lotto na. happy, telyd

Thanks Lydia, you were the second person who broke my heart yesterday. I was about to buy the same lens from another forum but I was late for roughly 10 minutes. So I pm'ed Rey if he happens to know anyone the he said to try Bong, just the same, the unit just got sold.
Haaaay. Sana manalo ako ng 6/49. May tayo ako 5 draws.

Buying a good pair of lens is like shooting flycatchers. Very elusive, but once you capture, the feeling is sooo good. Be patient Mon. You will get your dream lens soon. This one took me a long time but dreams come true... at the right time. lyd

Congrats TeLyds. Isn't it great to have good connections? ;D Yes, good lenses are very hard to find even in the used market for that exact reason. The only reason they are being sold is upgrading, or the owner already upgraded and not using it anymore. And that takes luck.
BTW, can't wait for the butterfly season, so I can have another use for my 105 macro.

Tony Leung also sent me an e-mail with that quote but there is no guarantee when I will be able to get the unit. That's just about P51k. Delivery would have not been a problem since my book partner is coming from Hong Kong (arriving tomorrow) but having a good used one plus savings makes me very happy na. I got mine for a song. Ralph supports my advocacy. (Thanks Bong.) I am leaving for Palawan tomorrow. With this new gear...exciting. teLY;D
