Sharing some of the shots I took last Sunday at Candaba with Ding. The pleasure I took shooting BIFs was torture for my camera's continuous servo AF, added to that is the lack of reach. These are among the closer ones. On both shots: D40 + 70-300 VR, 270mm, ISO 400, 1/640s, f/7.1, Manual Exposure, Manfrotto 190XB/393 Support, 100% Crop Purple Heron (Ardea purpurea)

Thanks Ka Mastah and Ed. @ka Mastah It's in the works. In five years maybe. ;D I should have taken pictures of your printed (in tarp, I think) bird photos exhibited all over the place. That way I should have bagged a lot of full-frame bird shots. ;D
