I don't see any streaks in the breast of this fellow.... could be a Tawny Grassbird ( Megalurus timoriensis) which is less common than the Striated. Not very sure though, let's see if Steve can confirm it. Nice shots. Ding!

I think all that I saw this morning were Tawnies.
Yikes! I just had a relook at the first two photos and methinks I got carried away with color saturation there. Too painful to look at. Shows you what happens when you're tired and you get desensitized to PPing.

I think it's the season of grassbirds. For 3 days now, there has been a striated grassbird that has been hanging out at the vacant lot beside our house.
