I took these pictures today at Manila Yacht Club. Most of these pictures are not cropped .. I was so happy to have such a patient and cooperative model! The tricky part was compensating for the bobbing action of the water of both the boat and the bird. 2.2, 1/200, iso 500 2.2, 1/200, iso 500 3.2, 1/160, iso 500 3.2, 1/200, iso 500 2.2, 1/250, iso 500 Nikon D90 + 50mm + adaptor + Swarovski scope

FANTASTIC SHOTS Syl! I'm grinning - so happy for you, green with envy and :-/groaning why you gals get grrrreat shots and me do not know the nitty gritty up to now. But your shots keep me awake at this time of the day... better than grrround cofi. lyd

These are very nice captures, Sylvia.... if you posted these without the shooting data, I'd have assumed that you were able to get close to the bird and these were taken with a good, regular long lens. Those eyes are scary!

Thanks TeLyd, Master Romy, and AA! Wow Romy, so glad you think the scope is performing like a regular lens!!

Thanks Tina! I actually had to back up a bit! Also thought at first that there was something wrong with my tripod, but it was the waves moving everything up and down.
