Sharing my captures from my vacation (turned birding sortie) in Subic last weekend. Managed to get some lifers during this trip. Great captures. The last one is a stripe-headed rhabdornis.
I like the lighting on the white-breasted woodswallow. very dramatic.

Thanks Adri and Ka Mastah.
Used my external flash for fill on the Woodswallow -- 'twas a tough job exposing the swallow without burning the sky.

Yup, yup, yup! Nice exposure of the hornbill, Mark. Good use of the fill flash on the woodswallow. The colasisi would have been perfect, if the conditions are right.
Well done Mark, take more "vacations". ;D

It was a great surprise bumping into you, Mark. That horbill was just perfect. Perhaps your friend who lives in Subic can raise us an alarm whenever there's a fruiting tree?

Thanks TeLyds, Tina, and Ding. @telyds The girlfriend, though tolerant, must have been thinking that I crafted our Subic trip just to go birding. As for my Subic friend... now I'm having doubts if he's still going to accompany me on my next visit. ;D Ok, will post my pics of the fruiting tree. @tina Indeed a very nice place. @ding He says he doesn't usually go around the area, but he'll do (give us an update) if he gets to pass by.
