Ths bird has always eluded me. My ET photos have always been OOF or too dark. This morning, one tit noisily perched on a tree for me, in a perfect upright and cheery pose, beckoning me to click. Trained my camera on it and, as if it knew I was about to press the shutter, it flipped into this position.

Thissssss bird is the one I have also found to be so verrrrry difficult to expose. Aside from its behavior, (always moving around) it's contrasting colors are so difficult to tame, especially in bright light and when the light is just right, the bird doesn't seem to stop jumping all over the place!!!
One of these days, somebody around here will come up with THE photo of this beauty ... till then, keep shooting! :-)

He, he Sylvia. The bird is exposing itself. BTW, Ding, I've seen a gang of this bird before the entrance to Angat Dam, the tree by the bridge. Lots of them. lyd

This bird is really a challenge to take photos of - even if it decided to shift to another position, at least you were still able to capture it clearly so... Congratulations Ding !!!I have tried so many times in the past to take pictures of this bird and up to now, I still don't have a decent capture of it

It resembles a YVB in this pose.
