This guy shows up in early in the morning in deep foliage so getting a clear shot is a challenge. Finally managed one but I wish he didn't have to perch on a branch with trash. Looks like you've mastered the technique of dragging the shutter, Ding.... nice low-light shot of this beauty!

Congratulations on the nice capture Ding.
Taking a photo of this bird is really quite a challenge since it lovesssss perching in poorly lighted areas.

I agree. This bird seems to hate bright, photographer-friendly lighting. My only shot of this one is called a Mangrove Blurred Flycatcher: ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

LOL. That's a nice monicker. My earlier attempts merited (or demerited?) the same name though yours didn't deserve it as much as mine! I agree. This bird seems to hate bright, photographer-friendly lighting. My only shot of this one is called a Mangrove Blurred Flycatcher: ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

HI Ding, I may have a silhouette of this bird. All I can remember was it the same deep blue color but breast is all white. It's by the river after you exit the back gate. Doc Chito was able to photograph after I have told him that I saw one so close but inside the thickets and was backlighted. But when he went, he was able to capture the black naped monarch instead. I'm very sure that was not what I saw. I'll go back one day this week for sure.
