Nilo, Osawa, and I went to Nug-as in Alcoy yesterad and spent the night there. I came away with some new shots of the same birds, but I'd like to share this with you guys - it's different from the one in Luzon: Coppersmith Barbet (Megalaima haemacephala cebuensis) EOS-40D;Canon 400mm+1.4TC;ISO320;f5.6;1/125 Sec; Tripod Used Nilo braved the forest and walked 3 hours total - in sweltering heat, and got rewarded with a beautiful lifer. I'm sure he'll post it here soon -) I hope you like my latest barbet shot :-) Bobby

Huwow!! All feather strands are accounted for in this shot, only a live bird a foot away from your face would top this capture Bobby!!

Awesome one of a kind macro shot Bobby. Terrific head turn and eye contact with truly superb details. Love to have a chance to capture this bird too, it's among the top of my wish list.
